Small lump under chin

A few months ago I noticed Sasha had a small lump under her chin. She's very whiskery there (long course dark hairs) so I assumed it was an inflamed hair follicle as it was at the base of a whisker. It is a very mobile lump and not attached.

I've just been poking her again and it's still there but a bit flatter. It's just under the skin and nowhere near her bone.

She is due at the vets for her annual in the next couple of weeks so I will mention it then but has anyone had any experiences of anything similar? For 9/10 she isn't at all lumpy and bumpy. Sasha is severely vet aggressive and I am not sure he is going to be able to feel it without sedation, hence why we don't tend to rush her there unless we feel it's serious.

My Harvey gets lumps on his chin. They are non cancerous, but swell up quickly so don't sound like the same thing. Harvey's often look like warts, and he gets multiple there which have to be removed every few months or so. Not really helpful because they don't sound like the same thing at all :dunno:

It's under the loose skin of her chin - between her jaw bones.

It's quite possible that it was indeed an infammed hair follicle and what is left is scaring. It doesn't happen that often, but I have three small lumps that were the result of spots of severe inflammation, one was where I'd been bitten by a tick  can't remember about the other two.

Princess MeggieMoo gets *ahem* zits under her chin. They feel soft and mobile to start with and then go flatter and harder. On one occasion I was brave enough to investigate and pulled the hair. Quite a lot of infection came out and a bit of yuck

But I can leave them. I have a mild swipe at giving them a squeeze when she is having a TTouch session and sometimes they go boom. But none of the ones that haven't seem to have done any harm

Does that sound similar?

I would get it checked out, specially as it has gone bigger a bit.

We had a good poke of both Sasha and Cloudy's two hounds yesterday and they both have the same lumps. Penny (grey) had several.

So it's looking like it's follicular. She is booked into the vets next Wednesday so I will mention it. Problem is it's where her muzzle sits so I am not sure he is going to be able to feel it.

Just to update, Sasha saw the vet today and he had a good feel - he doesn't think it's anything to worry about but just keep an eye on it :) He thinks it could be a hair folicle too but if it grows he will remove it.
