the perfect winter coat for an old cocker

hi all im looking for a new coat for my little lass freda. she is quite small in height for a cocker but has got a little round of late and is now on a diet, so the coat she had when she first came to me no longer properly fits. she was very skinny with huge boobs  so she had obviously not long had a litter so has now 3 years on filled out and settled down in shape.
anyway what i want is something with a sort of fluffy, fleecy furry lining to keep an old lady warm in the winter and a waterproof top layer. it must also have either buttons or plastic buckles to do up prefrably two, one up by front legs one down by belly. we definalty dont want velcro as velcro just does not work. i would like it to come down over her hips to keep them warm. oh and it cant cost a fortune as i dont have one. so has anyone got any suggestions please then for a new coat for this delicate little old lady.

What about an Equafleece tankie or jumper, you can get them with a zip up the back so its easy for the oldies. Fleecy and water repellant. Cover tummy, chest and hips.

Yes she does.

I'm not sure there is any coat out there that will actually keep a cocker dry  there are ones that would keep her warm even though she was wet and ones that would help her to dry more quickly.

no i mean just to wear when it is raining she dont do much just waddle along behind me on a lead, she is blind so no scurrying off into bushes . so just a waterproof, windproof coat, ive got two like that for peggy and buddy but they are padded and not fleecy and peggy has a sort if furry, fluffy one with a fleecy top if that makes sense, which she wears when it is dry but that one is velcro and im for ever sewing poppers on it. im afraid im one of those mad people that walks in the wind and rain regardless the only thing i wont walk in is hot sun, so she needs a warm, waterproof coat.

If you let me know the measurement of your dog from the base of his neck to his tail and also the 'girth' I will let you know if we can do one to fit.

We print designs onto the coats too :goodjob:

oh that looks exactly what i want, ive tried to measure her she is i think 20"- 21" from neck to base i say think cause the moment you try to touch her back she drops and curls her back, she wont let you go behind her either  ( puppy farm i suppose) and the girth is 20 " if you mean round the ribcage, too but is a bit flexible at the mo :what: she is slowly decreasing thankfully. the band that does the doing up is that velcro.
thanks tracey
